The Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs announced on Wednesday that it had organized field visits and agricultural extension tours for the “tobacco farmers of the southern town of Rmeish,” who “remained steadfast on their land and continued cultivating tobacco despite the difficult circumstances.”
In a statement, the Regie explained that these tours, organized by the Agriculture and Purchasing Department in Southern Lebanon, aimed to “support the resilience and efforts of these farmers.”
The statement added that the visits “provided farmers with the necessary guidance to help them sustain their agricultural activities throughout the season.”
