Regie seizes smuggled and counterfeit tobacco products in Ashrafieh, Wadi Chahrour, Dora, Burj Hammoud and Nabaa

The Anti-Trafficking Unit of the Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs carried out a series of raids on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, in the areas of Ashrafieh, Wadi Chahrour, Dora, Burj Hammoud, and Nabaa, leading to the seizure of various types of smuggled and counterfeit tobacco products.

In a statement, the Regie said that large quantities of counterfeit molasses (mu’assal), as well as smuggled cigars, cigarettes and electronic cigarettes, were seized as a result of the raids.

These operations fall within the framework of the Regie’s ongoing efforts to combat the smuggling and counterfeiting of tobacco products.

Seizure reports were filed against the violators and sent to the competent judicial authorities for further action.
