The Lebanese Regie for Tobacco and Tombacs (Regie) announced that its Anti-Smuggling Unit seized quantities of smuggled electronic cigarettes, smuggled and counterfeit molasses tobacco, smuggled cigarettes, and smuggled tombac during raids conducted in the Malla area of Beirut, as well as in Jamous, Ain El Sekke, and Al Ajniha Al Khamsa in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
Regie reiterated that these raids are part of its ongoing efforts to combat smuggled and counterfeit tobacco products. It added that violation reports were filed against the offenders and referred to the competent judicial authorities for further action.
