The Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs (Regie) announced that its anti-smuggling unit seized quantities of smuggled electronic cigarettes, smuggled and counterfeit molasses tobacco, smuggled cigarettes, as well as counterfeit cigars, during raids carried out in Chtaura, Bednayel and Tamnine El Faouqa in the Bekaa, and Btalloun and Bqaata in Chouf.
Regie reiterated that these raids are part of its ongoing efforts to combat smuggled and counterfeit tobacco products.
Violation reports were issued against the offenders, and the cases have been referred to the competent judiciary.
