The Lebanese Tobacco and Tombac Monopoly Administration (Regie) has achieved a significant industrial milestone, earning, for the first time, Gold SLA Status under the performance evaluation framework adopted by Philip Morris International (PMI) for its manufacturing partners.
This achievement comes as a result of the significant and sustained improvement in the factory’s performance during June and July 2026.
PMI commended the progress achieved, noting that Regie’s attainment of Gold status reflects the teams’ focus on continuous improvement and on raising the level of excellence in industrial performance.
The SLA – Service Level Agreement performance framework is based on three key pillars: service and production commitment, compliance with quality standards, and cost-management efficiency.
Together, these criteria provide a comprehensive assessment of industrial performance and a manufacturer’s ability to meet its production commitments while maintaining quality and operational efficiency standards.
Regie’s achievement of Gold status for the first time marks another milestone in its ongoing efforts to develop its industrial performance and strengthen its competitiveness.
It also reflects the ability of its technical and administrative teams to implement best practices in production, quality, and operational efficiency, further reinforcing Regie’s position as a trusted industrial partner within Philip Morris International’s global manufacturing network.
