A delegation from China Tobacco visited the Regie’s headquarters in Hadat to gain insight into operations at several key facilities, including the cigarette factory, the laboratory and the hybrid power plant.
Leaf Tobacco Manager Eng. Abdel Mawla al-Mawla held a meeting with the delegation in his office, attended by the agriculture minister’s adviser and chief of staff Samer Khawand, Dr. Jamil Hdeib, Ali Abbas and China Tobacco’s director of foreign relations and international trade, Mr. Ngai.
The delegation then headed to the office of Manufacturing Department Head Eng. Paul Ghanimeh, who gave an overview of the Manufacturing Directorate’s workflow, production processes and technical and organizational procedures.
At the cigarette factory, Factory Maintenance Office Head Fadi Fakhoury and Factory Management and Production Office Supervisor Hisham Ezzeddine detailed the manufacturing stages, the operation of production lines and the technical maintenance procedures designed to support operational continuity and efficiency.
The delegation also visited the Regie’s laboratories, where Laboratory Office Head Wissam Husseini briefed the visitors on the technical procedures and the quality-control mechanisms used to ensure that products meet the required specifications.
The tour concluded at the hybrid power plant, where Central Equipment Maintenance Office Head Eng. Ola al-Sebaali provided background on its establishment, described its components and highlighted its role in maintaining a reliable electricity supply and improving operational efficiency across the Regie’s facilities.
