The Anti-Trafficking Unit of the Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs seized large quantities of smuggled and counterfeit molasses (mu’assal), counterfeit cigars, as well as smuggled cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and Lebanese tunbac.
These seizures, which were the result of raids in Ain Bourday (Baalbek-Hermel), Ali al-Nahri and Jalala (Bekaa), were carried out as part of the Regie’s ongoing efforts to combat the smuggling and counterfeiting of tobacco products.
Seizure reports were filed against the violators and sent to the competent judicial authorities for further action.
