The Regie’s chairman and general manager, Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, honored international expert Dr. Jalal Haidar for his appointment as CEO of Lebanon’s Civil Aviation Authority, during a dinner held at Port 79 restaurant in the port of Sour.
During the dinner, attended by MPs Ali Khreis and Inaya Ezzeddine, Sour Mayor Eng. Hassan Dbouk, and a number of friends and invitees, Seklaoui delivered a speech in which he expressed his pride in the distinguished academic stature of Dr. Haidar, who was born and raised in Sour.
He also mentioned the friendship that has bound them since childhood and conveyed his affection and respect for Dr. Haidar’s esteemed family.
Seklaoui said that the gathering was held in honor of “a dear brother and friend with a longstanding and influential role in the international aviation sector,” adding that his appointment to this senior position crowns a career marked by dedication and achievement.
For his part, Dr. Haidar thanked Seklaoui and all attendees for the thoughtful gesture, extending special thanks to his lifelong friend who took the initiative to organize the gathering.
He also expressed his gratitude for everyone’s affection, particularly that of the people of Sour.
