The Regie’s chairman and general manager, Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, honored several factory workers at his office in Hadat on Thursday in recognition of the outstanding operational results they achieved.
The ceremony coincided with the factory’s adoption of precise digital performance indicators, marking its first steps toward operational excellence, more efficient equipment operation and improved product quality.
By adopting these digital performance indicators, the institution aims to drive sustainable development and further enhance performance.
The indicators were introduced following the Regie’s collaboration with an international tobacco equipment manufacturer on a digitalization program that enables the extraction and analysis of operational data from manufacturing equipment. The program helps measure performance indicators, guide maintenance operations and support technical decision-making based on objective data.
The ceremony was held in the presence of Regie Board Members Eng. Georges Hobeika, Dr. Issam Salman, Dr. Mazen Abboud and Eng. Imad Bissat, as well as Manufacturing Department Head Eng. Paul Ghanimeh, Factory Maintenance Office Head Fadi Fakhoury and Production Office Supervisor Hisham Ezzeddine.
he employees honored included operators Hussein Moqdad, Abdullah Alman, Mohammad Termos, Maroun Hadchiti, Ali Badawi, Ali Hazimeh and Ahmad Masri, technicians Adnan Abdallah and Grace Assaf, as well as Production Division Head Georges Gerges.
Seklaoui presented the employees with certificates in recognition of their efforts and outstanding operational results, with overall equipment effectiveness scores exceeding 85 percent.
He then praised the efforts that contributed to the initiative’s success, stressing that “investing in human talent and adopting precise digital performance indicators are key pillars of sustainable development and help drive further improvements in performance and quality at the factory.”
