Seklaoui honors Regie employees in Kfar Rumman for achievements despite war

The Regie’s chairman and general manager, Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, honored on Wednesday employees from the Kfar Rumman branch for their determination to process and export the entire 2025 harvest despite the dangers posed by the recent Israeli war on Lebanon.

The ceremony, held at the institution’s headquarters in Hadat, was attended by Regie Board Members Eng. Georges Hobeika, Dr. Issam Salman, Dr. Mazen Abboud and Eng. Imad Bissat, along with Leaf Tobacco Manager Eng. Abdel Mawla al-Mawla and Leaf Tobacco Department Head at southern Lebanon branch, Eng. Hassan Hammadi.

The employees honored were Fawzi Qansoun, Ali Kreidi, Mohammad Abou Zeid, Hassan Sbeity, Fatima Krayker, Sana’a Farhat and Talal Fakih.

Seklaoui praised the employees’ dedication and motivation, as well as their commitment to serving both tobacco farmers and the Regie.

He also commended them for continuing their work at the branch during the war despite the constant threat to their lives.

The Regie said that “the unwavering determination of the employees at Kfar Rumman branch and their deep devotion to the institution enabled the branch to process and export the entire 2025 harvest, comprising 78,124 tobacco bales shipped in 128 containers, under exceptionally difficult and dangerous conditions.”

The Regie expressed its gratitude to everyone “who provided support and lent a helping hand” despite the “difficult and harsh circumstances.”
