Regie seizes smuggled and counterfeit tobacco products in Jal el Dib, Kantari, Ghobeiri, Hadat and Bir Hassan

The Anti-Trafficking Unit of the Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs seized large quantities of smuggled and counterfeit molasses (mu’assal) and cigars, in addition to smuggled Lebanese and Ajami tunbac and electronic cigarettes.

These seizures were the result of raids in Jal el Dib, Kantari, Ghobeiri, Hadat and Bir Hassan.

In a statement, the Regie said that the raids were carried out as part of its “ongoing efforts to combat the smuggling and counterfeiting of tobacco products.”

Seizure reports were filed against the violators and sent to the competent judicial authorities for further action.
