The Regie’s Union of Employees and Workers reaffirmed that it remains “firmly committed, as is the Regie’s management, to supporting its resilient employees and workers.”
Speaking from the southern towns of Ghazieh, Nabatieh and Sour, “where tobacco plants are deeply rooted in the soil as a symbol of resilience and giving,” the Union stressed that this commitment stems from its belief “that people are the foundation of the Regie and that supporting southern Lebanon residents is a way of honoring their sacrifices, their attachment to their land and their dedication to work and production despite all challenges.”
