Regie grants financial assistance to tobacco farmers in war-affected areas

The Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs announced on Friday that it will provide financial assistance in the coming days to tobacco farmers in areas affected by the Israeli war on Lebanon.

In a statement, the Regie said that this initiative is intended “to enable displaced farmers to cope with the difficult conditions of displacement, and to help those who remained in their villages continue cultivating their lands.”

The Regie added that this measure “falls within its social responsibilities toward its farming communities.”
