The Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs has launched a series of agricultural extension seminars in the Akkar governorate for farmers in tobacco-growing villages.
These seminars aim to provide farmers with guidance to help them avoid problems in cultivation-related issues. This year, the Regie is placing particular emphasis on compliance with proper pesticide spraying rules and safety standards, in order to reduce the risk of pesticide residue.
The seminars are delivered by the Regie’s engineers and experts, including the head of the Agriculture and Purchasing Office in Northern Lebanon, Eng. Mahmoud Al-Ahmad, and Eng. Daoud Daoud.
