Regie reobtains ISO certifications for quality, health and safety

The Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs announced that it has once again obtained two international ISO certifications, recognizing its compliance with quality management and occupational health and safety standards.

In a statement, the Regie said that the international auditing team commended its “advanced system,” which they described as “an example to be followed by public institutions in Lebanon and the region.”

The statement emphasized that the renewed awarding of these prestigious certifications embodies the Regie’s “determination to maintain its leadership” and its “commitment to development and modernization” despite the “difficult” situation in the country this year.

It added that “in a year marked by successive crises and national, economic and security challenges, the Regie has once again demonstrated its resilience and excellence, successfully completing the external audit process for the renewal of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification and the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health and Safety Management System certification.

The audit was conducted by the internationally accredited body Bureau Veritas from November 4 to 6, 2025.”

The Regie explained that “the audit covered all directorates and departments that fall within the scope of the Integrated Management System for Quality and Occupational Health and Safety. The audit team noted a high level of organizational readiness, effective compliance with international standards and a deeply rooted institutional culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement.”

According to the statement, the international audit team confirmed that “the Regie possesses an advanced management system built on the principles of strategic planning, risk management and regular performance review, making it an example to be followed by public institutions in Lebanon and the region.”

The Regie’s chairman and general manager, Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, said that “this achievement, which comes at a difficult time for Lebanon, not only underscores the institution’s determination to maintain its leadership and sense of responsibility toward its employees and society, but also reaffirms its commitment to development and modernization in the face of adversity.
