Regie seizes smuggled and counterfeit products in Aisha Bakkar, Hamra and Ain al-Rummaneh

The Anti-Trafficking Unit of the Lebanese Regie for Tobacco seized large quantities of smuggled and counterfeit molasses (mu’assal), as well as smuggled cigarettes, electronic cigarettes and cigars. These seizures were the result of raids in Ain al-Rummaneh (Baabda District), and in Beirut’s Hamra and Aisha Bakkar neighborhoods.
The Regie reiterated that these operations fall within its ongoing efforts to combat the smuggling and counterfeiting of tobacco products.
Seizure reports were filed against the violators and sent to the competent judicial authorities for further action.
