The Regie Libanaise des Tabacs et Tombacs honored a number of factory workers for their outstanding achievements and unwavering dedication to their work, during a ceremony held in the presence of Chairman and General Manager, Eng. Nassif Seklaoui, and members of the Board of Directors.
Seklaoui said that the ceremony aimed to express the Regie’s “sincere appreciation and gratitude for the honorees’ efforts and hard work.”
“You play an essential and direct role in sustaining work and production, and in maintaining the manufacturing quality that the Regie takes pride in, against all odds,” he added, addressing the factory workers.
“You have proven your loyalty and commitment to your work (…), and we are proud of your belonging to the Regie and of the spirit you display as one united team representing all the departments of the Manufacturing Directorate,” he continued.
“Thanks to your efforts and dedication, the Regie has become a role model and an example to be followed,” he concluded.
As for Eng. Paul Ghanimeh, head of the Manufacturing Directorate’s Local Production Department, he addressed the honorees saying: “You embody a work culture that has become firmly rooted within the factory.”
He stressed that these achievements would not have been possible without Seklaoui’s support and the backing of the Board of Directors. This support is reflected in the various development projects, the trust placed in the Manufacturing Directorate, and the decisions that paved the way for expansion and the addition of new production lines, including one affiliated with Philip Morris.
For Ghanimeh, honoring the factory workers marks “a milestone confirming that the Regie is on the right path and that the next phase requires the same level of seriousness.”
He then said that “factories do not thrive thanks to equipment alone, but thanks to a management that knows where it is heading and a workforce that knows how to commit.”
Seventeen employees from categories “A” and “B” were honored, including administrative and technical staff, storekeepers and quality control personnel.
Seklaoui also presented, on behalf of the Manufacturing Directorate, a commemorative shield to the former general supervisor and current head of the Regie’s Ex-Laborers League, Rafic Sbeiti, in recognition of his continued efforts following his retirement.
